He was predeceased by: his parents, Johan Cernak and Maria Sutor; and his brothers, Peter (Therese) and Valentin (Jean). He is survived by: his sister Anne Dodd of Orillia; his stepchildren, Michel Begin and Christiane L'Italien; and his close friends, Claude, Louise, Gides, Marie-Claude, Marie-Paul, Chuck and Eugène.
