He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Gruber and Mary Dameral. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Alice (Mark John) and Kieran (Lucia); his granddaughter Camila; and his siblings, Pauline (late John), Andy (Pat) and Tess (Ian). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM.
