Avis de décès de Aleksander Ackerman
It's with great sadness that I announce the death of Aleksander Ackerman, who passed away on June 23, 2025, leaving family and friends to mourn.
I met Alex at Concordia during his "Mr. Toolbox" years, where he taught me how to use a mouse and browse the Internet for the first time. My first real connection in Montreal. He was a very kind man with the greatest, most mischievous grin. Who often stopped to treat others, and never had a bad word to say about anyone. And he will be dearly missed. My most memorable of Alex's famous sayings were: "I'm not a spring chicken"; "Intuitively, I felt it"; "Does that candy have meat in it? Cause I don't eat meat." And chiming "Yes!" with a chortle when he meant to disagree. The loss of a dear friend with whom I had the joy of reconnecting several times over the 30 years will always leave a deep void.
Rest peacefully, Alex.
