We announce the death of Barbara Ann Newcomb (Montréal, Québec), who passed away on September 17, 2026. Barbara Ann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert W. Newcomb; her parents, Mary Schoolcraft and Ferdinand McCourt; and her sister Gwendolyn McCourt. She is survived by: her siblings, Shirley (John Mulholland) and Gerry McCourt (Elaine); her siblings-in-law, Thelma (late James McCourt) and Dave Newcomb (Cindy); and her grandson Brandon. She is also survived by her cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, neighbors, friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex (1297 Chem. de la Forêt, Outremont, QC H2V2P9). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Complexe Funéraire Mont-Royal (1297 Chem. de la Forêt, Outremont, QC H2V2P9). A reception will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Glaucoma Department of the Jewish General Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
