He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Robert O'Brien and Annie Smith; his sisters, Claire Russell of Melbourne and Jan Healy of Ouyen, Australia.; his siblings' children, Felicity Healy, Gabrielle Hammett, Dominique Bourgoine, Anthony, Ben and Peter Healy; his brothers-in-law, François Mourgues (Annie) and Henri Mourgues; his siblings' children, Yves Mourgues, Alain Mourgues, Frédéric Chatoux, Christine Mourgues, Hélène Mourgues and Fiona Russell; his sister-in-law Evelyn Mourgues; and his wife Lise Mourgues O'Brien.

In memory of Barry, a donation to the Pearson Education Foundation Beacon Hill Elementary Fund would be greatly appreciated.
