He was predeceased by: his parents, Oreste Giro and Rosa Riveccio. He is survived by: his spouse Sorrentina Sisti; his sons, Oreste (Angela) and Claudio (Dena); his grandchildren, Americo, Emiliano and Cesco; and his sister Maria (Federico). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex (10300 Bd Pie-IX, Montréal-Nord, QC H1H3Z1). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Complexe Funéraire Cimetière de Laval (5505 Rang du Bas-Saint-François, Laval, QC H7E4P2). The inurnment was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in his honor would be greatly appreciated.
