He was predeceased by: his father Oscar Rubinstein; his grandparents, Franz (Frank), Dina Ackerman, Harry and Bertha Rubinstein; and his aunts and uncles, Deli (Norman Holtzman), Ben Stein and Esther (Mitchell Leiberman).

He is survived by: his mother Renée Rubinstein (Ackermann); his siblings, Judy (Beny Tsaig) and Rabbi Gerald Rubinstein (Line Levy); his nieces and nephews, Eleanor, Avital, Oryann and Ariella; and his uncle Victor (Rose Ackerman).
