With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Gornjec) Gjerek (Montréal, Québec), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Elizabeth shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Elizabeth farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her spouse Ignac Gjerek. She is survived by: her son Martin; her grandchildren, Samuel and Jessy; and her sisters, Anna, Kristina and Katarina. She is also survived by other family members and numerous friends.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends are invited to donate to St. Vladimir Slovenian Parish.
