With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Hirsh (Montréal, Québec), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sibling Shirley Hirsh; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Zentner and Usher Zentner. He is survived by: his wife Freda Zentner; his children, Gail (Jeff Spunt), Cheryl Hirsh, Tina (Alan Kholos) and Glen (Sofia Hirsh); his grandchildren, Adam, Ali Spunt, Michael, Nina Spunt, Zachary, Alex Richman, Matthew, Andra Richman, Cameron, Carlyn Kholos, Jonathan and Jeremy Hirsh; his great grandchildren, Tommy, Lucy, Steven, Ryder, Raye, Blake and Liam; his brother Harvey; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Alce, Max, Sam and Tova Zentner. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, family, friends.
A funeral service was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM, on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM. Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. For information about Shiva, please contact the family.
