He was predeceased by: his parents, René Bélanger and Marcelle Bélanger (Trépanier); his siblings, Guy Bélanger (Louise Bélanger) and Denyse Brothers (James Alfred Brothers); and his daughter Monique Bélanger.

He is survived by: his daughter Catherine Bélanger (Luc D'Aoust); and his brother Jacques Bélanger. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
