She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Leyendecker and Margaret Leyendecker (Zimmerman); her husband Henry Sander of Montreal; her son Richard; and her family Glens Falls. She was also cherished by eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
