We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2026, Irene (Motyka) Konanec (Montréal, Québec) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Irene farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Irene is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
A wake will be held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and at 7:30 PM at the Memoria (3254 Rue de Bellechasse, Montréal, QC H1X1H8). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish (6175 10e Avenue, Montréal, QC H1Y2H5).
