We bid farewell to Irene Lebovits (Montréal, Québec), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 27, 2025 at the age of 99. Irene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rose Mermelstein and Ludwig Mermelstein. She is survived by: her children, Margaret Agnes Lebovits (Agi) and Gerald Lebovits; her grandchildren, Natalie Lebovits-Zaidenberg, Zaidenberg, Kenneth Lebovits of New York City, Mindy Shear, Rabbi Reuben Poupko of Montréal, Jamie and Naama Shear of Jerusalem; her great grandchildren, Moshe, Uriel, Tehila, Navah, Shalev, Dina, Yonah, Natan and Yona; her nieces and nephews, Susanna, Lynne, Deborah, Fouad, Bruce and Steven; and also, Hungarian and Maca (Matza). She is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Levitt Weinstein Beth David Memorial Chapel.

Donations in Irene's memory may be made to Mt. Sinai Hospital.
