He was predeceased by: his sibling-in-law Ricki Lapkovsky; his parents, Freda Dym and Irving Dym; and his parents-in-law, Evelyn and Philip Lapkovsky.

He is survived by: his wife Arlene Dym; his children-in-law, Eric, Maria, Mark, Jennifer, Adam and Tamara; his siblings, Martin (Sabina Dym), Sharron Adler, Myrna (Peter Linder) and Andrea (Barry Hutkins); and his siblings-in-law, Steven, Helen Lapkovsky, Robert, Vivian Lapkovsky, Howard and Randi. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and the entire extended family.
