He was predeceased by : his parents, Sam Appel and Jennie Appel; his sister Esther; and his sibling-in-law Eddie Lackman. He is survived by : his spouse Sandy Nusselman; his children, Robert (Jill Appel) and Andrea (Marc Shapiro); his grandchildren, Jarod, Skyler, Jenna Appel, Joshua, Brooke, Dylan Shapiro, Emilie, Maddie, Brittany Colton, Ellis Green, Hollie Green and Jeremy Wallace; and his siblings-in-law, Terri and Eddie Isenberg. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
