She was predeceased by: her husband Anthony Thornhill; and her sisters, Violet Sandys and Kathleen Sopeju. She is survived by: her children, Nadya (Fabrice) and Aisha; her siblings, Charles Claxton and Ann Claxton; and her friends, Cameroon, Nevis and Barbados. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, relatives.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a private funeral service for the immediate family on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 11:30am at the Urgel Bourgie Athos funeral home in Lasalle.

In honour of Margaret Thornhill, the family is asking that in lieu of flowers, a donation be given to Trinity Pentecostal Church, Missions Account.
