With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Pianta (Montréal, Québec), who passed away on October 23, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Maria Pianta to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid Maria farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Maria is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her husband Alessandro Vincenzo Marone; and her daughter Adele Marone (Roger Paklarian). She is survived by: her daughter Maria-Elisa Marone; her grandchildren, Cristina (Vijay), Daniel (Angela) and Sabrina (Michael); and her great grandchildren, Domenic and Nicholas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Funeral Home Espaces Memoria. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Notre Dame.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Maria's honour to the Regroupement pour la trisomie 21 charity.
