He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Shirley Edelson; his sons, Michael (Dolly) and Stephen (Aviva); his grandchildren, Alyson, Matt, Jarrett, Saewon, Rylee, Matreya and Forest; his great grandchild Sophie; his siblings, Sonia (Sid Schumacher) and Lil (Gerald Wener); and his parent Montreal. He was also cherished by his nieces, nephews, and family.
