It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matteo Monaco (Montréal, Québec), who passed away on April 30, 2026, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Matteo shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Matteo farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carmela Monaco (D'Andrea); his daughters, Maria (Eddy) and Nadia (Brad); and his grandsons, Julian, Gabriel, Evan and Justin. He was also cherished by sisters, his extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Urgel Bourgie/Athos Funeral Complex (6700 Rue Beaubien E, Montréal, QC H1M1B2). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Notre-Dame-Du-Mont-Carmel Church (7645 Rue du Mans, Saint-Léonard, QC H1S 2A1). An entombment was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at the Notre-Dame-Des-Neiges Cemetery.
