He was predeceased by: his son Howard Haltrecht; his sibling Henny; and his siblings-in-law, Terry Robbins, Hyman Lifshitz, Lily, Sam Toulch, Dora, Harry Panoff, Murray Nixon, Norma and Howard Gilmour.

He is survived by: his wife Anne Lifshitz; his daughter Donna Haltrecht (Leslie Lansky); and his sister-in-law Edith.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Paperman & Sons (3888 Rue Jean-Talon O, Montréal, QC H3R2G8). A burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025.
