He was predeceased by: his spouse Evette Shahin; his siblings, Edward (Gertrude Mashaal) and Salim (Doris Mashaal); and his siblings-in-law, Nouri Levy and James Shahin (Jimmy).

He is survived by: his children, Michael Mashaal (Marla Cohen) and Marina Mashaal; his grandchildren, Stuart, Samantha and Jennifer; his siblings, Danielle (Freddy Mashaal), Albert (Sandy Mashaal), Victor (Edna Mashaal), Sue (Kamal Gabbay) and Emile (Myriam Mashaal); his siblings-in-law, Claudette, Élise Dayan, Eddy, Yael Shahin, David and Eva Shahin; and his pet Vinny. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, family, friends.
