With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peter Gates (Montréal, Québec), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 4, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Lucille; his sister Rose; and his brothers-in-law, Gus Steinberg and Kenny Diamond. He is survived by: his children, Gary (Abbe), Geoffrey (Sharon) and Sharon (Bruce); his great grandchildren, Samuel, Jacob, Nolan, Bryce, Spencer Bruce and Romie Lucy; and his sister-in-law Nancy. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM and on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM. A shiva was held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 and at 4430 Rue Sainte-Catherine, Westmount, QC H3Z3E4.
