He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon David Gilsig and Mary (Dworkin); his brothers, Nathan and William; his wife Melinda (Ages); and his children, Cara and Joshua.
He is survived by: his sibling Toby (Clare); his children, Gary (Judie), Janice, Audrey and Allan; and his grandsons, William and Shane. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
