He was predeceased by: his sister Doris; and his siblings-in-law, Ben Karp, Joel Kaplan, Hershie, Bea Schachter, Carla and Lorie Stein.
He is survived by: his spouse Gittie Schachter; his children, Steven, Irma, Peter, Therese, Lori-Anne and Howard; his grandchildren, Daniel, Casey, David, Michaela, Samuel (Marie), James, Lea (Justin), Bobbie and Josh; his daughter Zoe Lauren; and his sibling-in-law Marion. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
His legacy of generosity lives on through his various charitable donations. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ruby's memory may be made to a charity close to your heart.
