He is survived by: his mother Maria Carmelia Sousa; his children, Kiara, Bryanna, Maggie and Sergio Junior; his significant other Larissa; and his siblings, Ana (Fernando), Carla (Walter), Paulo, Stanley and Cassandra (Kevin). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
As a gesture of sympathy, a donation in Sergio's memory may be made to the McGill University Neurology Institute.
