He is survived by: his wife Bernice Furman Szymanski; his children, Stephen (Terri), Christine and Joanne (Stéphane); and his grandchildren, Stephanie (Andrew), Alina and Mathew.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex (1275 Av Dollard, LaSalle, QC H8N2J1). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of the Funeral Complex.
