She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Malette and Beatrice Malette; her husband Eldon "Buster" McDowell; and her siblings, Eva Brinkworth, Ramona, Joseph (Joe), Donald and Randolph (Ron).

She is survived by: her brother Ted; and her sisters-in-law, Margaret and Phyllis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
