He was predeceased by: his parents, Archibald Gordon Simons and Eva Black. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Beth Simons-Chambers (Roger Chambers), Lynne Simons-McCrindell (Duncan McCrindell), Peter Simons (Britta Kroger) and Richard Simons (Julie Pouliot); his grandchildren, Matthew, Carolyn, Kevin, Pénélope and Nicolas; his sister Barbara Simons-Miller (late Jack Miller); and his sibling's children, Nadya, Shelley and Peter.
