He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Hughes and William Johnston; his daughter Lara; and his sister-in-law Janet. He is survived by: his wife Sophie; his son Shaun; his daughter-in-law Maritsa Kastamoulas; his granddaughters, Ava and Faye; his son-in-law Steve Barron; his granddaughter Alyssa; and his brother Bruce.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the The Belvedere.
