She is survived by: her husband Josef Slanik; her daughters, Monica (Ron), Marta (David) and Catherine (Robin); her grandchildren, Justin, Lucas, Adrian, Thomas, Katrina, Kalista, Marcus, Xavier, Victor and William; and her brothers, Jirka and Rudolf.
Donations in Marie's memory may be directed to the Cedars Cancer Centre or Multiple Myeloma Canadian Cancer Society.
