It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cathy Maheral (Shawville, Québec), who passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Jack; her parents, John Lawrence and Iphigenie Maheral; her son Joey Ostrom; her grandchildren, Austin and Kaiden; her siblings, Beatrice (Emerson), Clarence (Carolyn), Bernadette, Raymond (Jan), Mary (Lionel), Eric, Victor (Heather), Richard, Joan, John (Sharron) and Brian (Lynn); Rita, Richard, Louise, Helen, Fran, Christiane, Brent, Julie, Billy and Yvonne. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home (134 Rue Centre, Shawville, QC J0X2Y0). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church.
