With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Iris (Hodgins) Smith (Shawville, Québec), who passed away on December 14, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Osborne Hodgins and Charlotte Evelyn Hodgins; her husband Bert Smith of Campbell's Bay; and her daughter Stacey Smith Robinson (Wayne Robinson) of Cardinal, Ontario.. She is survived by: her daughters, Jo-Anne Smith Prescott (Steve Strafford) and Jill Smith; her grandchildren, Kimberly Telford (Greg Palubiskie), Trina Telford (Ryan Mace), Cory Hobbs and Andrea Hobbs (Curtis Young); and her great grandchildren, Brianna Geertsma, Nolan, Leah Mace, Quinn and Kendall Young. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Donations to the St. Andrew's United Cemetery, Campbell's Bay, Quebec or the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated. The family has chosen to send donations to ALZHEIMER SOCIETY OF CANADA - SOCIETE ALZHEIMER DU CANADA.
