It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Horner (Shawville, Québec), who passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; and his parents, James Horner and Gladys Horner (Davis). He is survived by: his children, Moyra (Rick Green) and Grant (Gail Norton); and his close friend Jean Burnett.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home (134 Rue Centre, Shawville, QC J0X2Y0). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel, Shawville, Quebec.
