We are sad to announce that on December 27, 2025, at the age of 87, Janet Evelyn Smith (Sherbrooke, Québec) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Smith and Evelyn Smith; and her brother Geoff. She is survived by: her husband Patrick; her children, Mark (Alexandra) and Katharine (Ray); and her grandchildren, Gabrielle, Isaac, Talula, Maggie and Trevor.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cass Funeral Home (3006 Rue College, Sherbrooke, QC J1M1J7). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane's memory may be made to Grace Village, or the Frontier Animal Society.
