He is survived by: his wife Suzan Connell (Dalphy); his cousin Patricia Maguire (Sherri Thorne); and his son-in-law Tom. He is also survived by many extended family members, friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bernie's memory to the Cedar Cancer Centre at the MUHC Hospital.
