We are sad to announce that, on February 16, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Betty Jean Kempster Ephraim (Wakefield, Québec), born in Council Bluffs, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire her loved ones, keeping Betty's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.

She was predeceased by: her children, Connie Hughes, Donna Bell and Billy Kempster. She is survived by: her son Bob Kempster; her grandchildren, Russ Bell (Claudia), Bryan Glass (Dana), Richard Bell (Mona), Karen Jeffers (Steven), Trent Kempster (Shara) and Kelley Scott (Lee); and her close friend Baby. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
